Description

This 15-Minute Pepper Steak Stir-Fry is a quick, easy, and flavorful dish made with tender flank steak, colorful bell peppers, and a savory-sweet sauce. Ready in just 15 minutes, it’s perfect for a busy weeknight dinner!


Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225g) flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha (or favorite hot sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, Sriracha, and cornstarch.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add bell peppers and cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Turn heat to high and add remaining olive oil. Sear the flank steak in a single layer, cooking 1-2 minutes per side.
  • Add the peppers back to the skillet and pour in the sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  • Garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds. Serve over rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice. Enjoy!

  • Slice steak thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  • Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing Sriracha.
