- 8 oz (225g) flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha (or favorite hot sauce)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, Sriracha, and cornstarch.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add bell peppers and cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Turn heat to high and add remaining olive oil. Sear the flank steak in a single layer, cooking 1-2 minutes per side.
- Add the peppers back to the skillet and pour in the sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
- Garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds. Serve over rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice. Enjoy!

- Slice steak thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing Sriracha.
