  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Mix all spices in a small bowl.
    • Rub the spice mix evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
    • Place the chicken in a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Prepare the Cheese Sauce:
    • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
    • Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
    • Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring until thickened and bubbling.
    • Add salt, cayenne pepper, and paprika, and stir to combine.
    • Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted and smooth.

    • Top the cooked chicken breasts with the creamy cheese sauce.
