Description
Soft, chewy red velvet cookies rolled in sanding sugar and topped with a Hershey’s Kiss. A festive and easy holiday cookie!

- 7 tablespoons butter (softened)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg yolk
- ¼ teaspoon red food coloring gel
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup red sanding sugar
- 18 Hershey’s chocolate kisses
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet.
- Cream butter and sugars until smooth. Add vanilla, egg yolk, and food coloring.
- Mix in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Roll dough into 18 balls, coat in sanding sugar, and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then press a Hershey’s Kiss into each cookie. Let cool before serving.
Notes
Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to 7 days. Freeze for longer storage
