Description

This easy Ground Turkey Teriyaki Stir Fry is packed with lean protein, fresh veggies, and a glossy homemade teriyaki sauce. Perfect for a healthy, quick dinner!


Ingredients

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup water, divided
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or minced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Combine soy sauce, ¾ cup water, garlic, ginger, honey, and brown sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  • Whisk cornstarch with ¼ cup water, then slowly add to the saucepan. Stir until thickened. Add orange zest and set aside.
  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet. Sauté onion, then add ground turkey and cook until done.
  • Stir in broccoli and carrots, cooking until tender.
  • Reduce heat, pour in teriyaki sauce, and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Adjust the sauce sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • For extra crunch, garnish with sesame seeds.
